Mat Classes

Mat classes take place in the air-conditioned home studio. With ample parking, the studio accommodates up to 6 people allowing for detailed observation of each client to ensure correct alignment and a developed personal practice.

Each class is planned carefully by Kate, usually with a theme, and always integrates the six original principles of Pilates: Breathing, Centring, Concentration, Control, Precision, and Flow.

Recent themes include the shoulder joint, hip mobility, our feet as our foundation and many, many others!

Building strength and control at our centre – as Joseph Pilates called it our “power house.”

Classes make use of the traditional Pilates small equipment, such as the 7″ soft ball, resistance bands, Pilates circle, foam roller and a hand towel, each of which add variety and challenge to the sessions. You simply need to bring a mat and a drink – and you’re all set!

These friendly classes are great fun and you will receive lots of individual attention – but be prepared to work hard! There’s no escaping – it’s you, your mat and your breath.

Cost:

£13 per class (when booking a course, payable in advance)

£15 per class (when booking a single ‘drop in’ session, payable in advance)
