Movement helps us feel better - we should be able to move our bodies naturally, spontaneously and with ease and perform daily tasks without pain and discomfort. Originally called Contrology and the lifetime work of Joseph Pilates, Pilates is an exercise system of movements carefully designed to strengthen and condition our bodies with precision and control.
Pilates develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind, and elevates the spirit.

Working out is an opportunity for self-care; you will leave class feeling happy and positive - and possibly feeling a bit taller! Classes are available in friendly groups of up to 6 people. We also offer premium 1:1 and 1:2 sessions incorporating the mat and the other large pieces of Pilates apparatus to work on your individual needs.

I absolutely love coming to Kate’s classes. Her sessions are well planned, challenging and differentiated according to how far you are in your Pilates journey. Kate is absolutely brilliant. I started her classes having never done Pilates before and I’ve absolutely loved it. Kate’s really good at looking after all abilities, you never feel left behind and she gives you plenty of individual attention when you need a bit of extra help. Really, really highly recommend!!

I've been seeing Kate for over a year now after experiencing long spells of sciatica, after some 1 to 1 sessions and now onto mat classes I haven't suffered since! Kate knows her stuff!!!! My posture, core and back feel stronger than ever, would and have recommended Kate in a heartbeat.
I cannot praise Kate too highly. I have been doing Pilates, both one to one and in groups, for many years but have rarely met any one so committed to her art and intuitive about what some else's body needs. In particular the guidance, support and encouragement that she has given me following my hip operation have been amazing. She praises each little gain and works with me on each challenge. Not having had any proper exercise for several years I knew that at seventy four going on seventy five, I needed to find myself some form of exercise. An article in the paper led me to Pilates and Google led me to Kate and I am so glad that they did. She seems to have an intuitive understanding of individual needs and this combined with her encouraging attitude, has proved to be beneficial in every way.Most unexpected but very welcome, is the fact that the painful leg cramps that used to wake me up, no longer bother me. Wonderful.
I have been doing Kate’s classes for nearly a year now and have only had to visit my osteopath once! He was so impressed by my muscle strength, mobility and improvement in my overall posture that hopefully I won’t have to see him again for at least another year! I love Kate’s Pilates classes. She’s been a life saver for my well being and the health of my lower back, especially during lockdown. She is enthusiastic and fun, and fantastic at describing each tiny move, making sure you get your posture absolutely correct with each position and movement, without risk of injury & ensuring you get the most benefit. I didn’t think I could be this flexible in my 50’s. I feel as though I were in my 20’s again, thanks to Kate! I’ve been doing Pilates with varying teachers over the last 10 years or so, but Kate is one of my most trusted favourites. Highly recommend! Thanks Kate!!
I’ve only recently started the zoom Pilates lessons with Kate. I cannot recommend her enough. She explains everything very thorough and is very patient and understanding. She can see everyone on asceten and thus can let us know if anything needs some form of correction. She is very encouraging. I have definitely felt overall improvement since starting a few weeks ago.
